Day 1

Arrival in Leh and Acclimatization

A beautiful amalgamation of whites, brown and blues, Ladakh is a great place to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Your holiday would commence as you arrive at the Leh Airport. The rest of the day will be for you to relax and acclimatize.

You are reaching an altitude of 4000 meters approximately from 200 meters in just one hour’s time. Since it is a holiday, you would be excited and might want to explore everything on your very first day. However, your body needs to get acclimatized to the extreme change in height and climate. We sincerely suggest that you rest on the first day for acclimatization. Eat light, stay well hydrated and take a gentle stroll around your hotel if you feel up to it.

Later, enjoy your dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

Sham Valley Tour

After breakfast, start your Sham Valley Tour with a drive towards Sangam to see the confluence of Zanskar and Indus River.
On the way, stop to visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, about 25 miles away from Leh on the Leh-Kargil road. At Sangam, after getting the iconic snapshot of two different-coloured rivers merging, proceed to Leh. On your way back to Leh, stop at Magnetic Hill to experience the phenomenon of the mountains pulling vehicles downhill. Up next, head to the Hall of Fame, constructed by the Indian Army. Here, you will find memorabilia, eminent defence personalities’ biographies, images and weapons used during the Kargil war and belongings of enemy soldiers found at the war site.

When in Leh, spend the rest of the day at leisure. As the day comes to an end, have dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3

Road Transfer to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass

Post breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass, which is counted amongst the world’s highest motorable roads. Experience a beautiful drive on a road located at an altitude of 18,380 feet amidst breathtakingly beautiful landscapes. You can also enjoy a cup of hot black tea at the Army cafeteria here (at your own expense). Once you reach the Nubra ATV point, enjoy your complimentary ATV joyride followed by lunch.
Amidst the Karakoram Range and Ladakh ranges of Himalaya, Nubra is a high altitude cold desert with scenic surroundings. When in Nubra, check-in at the camp and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Under the canopy of stars, enjoy your dinner and retire to the comfortable tent.

Day 4

Sightseeing in Nubra Valley | Optional Excursion to Turtuk or Panamik Hot Springs

In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, proceed for Diskit Monastery. Post visiting the Diskit Monastery, proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can also enjoy a camel ride here (the camel ride is on direct payment basis).
Post that, return to your camps. Overnight stay at the camp.
Optional – You can opt for an excursion to Turtuk from Nubra Valley for a supplement cost of Rs 6000 per vehicle if you wish to. If you choose to experience this, Nubra sightseeing will be done during your return journey from Turtuk.

Day 5

Nubra Valley to Pangong via Shyok

“After early breakfast, drive to to Pangong Lake on the Indo China border, via the Shyok River Route. Pangong Lake: The picturesque lake is one of the major draws of the Leh-Ladakh valley. a location of several film shootings and known for its pristine waters surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, Pangong Lake is a prime tourist attraction. The long and narrow lake lies in the neighbourhood of the famous Chushul Mountains.

In the evening, check-in at your camps in Pangong.

Enjoy your dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.”

Day 6

Pangong Lake to Leh

In the morning have breakfast at your camps in Pangong. Thereafter, proceed for your journey back to Leh.
Upon your arrival in Leh, you may enjoy the evening at leisure.
Later, enjoy your dinner & a comfortable overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7

Tour to Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery and Shanti Stupa

Start your day with a delicious breakfast and head out to explore the famous monasteries in Leh. Drive to the famous Hemis Monastery, a 17th-century monastery known for its golden statues and stupas adorned with precious stones. When here, do visit the museum featuring a huge collection of Buddhist relics and several ancient items like paintings, weapons, etc. Thereafter, head to the Thiksey Monastery, located at an altitude of 10,800 feet. The monastery is known for its temples, mainly the Maitrayee Buddha and Lamokhang Temple. In the afternoon, you may head back to the hotel or Leh Market to enjoy lunch (at your own expense). Satiated, head for sightseeing to the picturesque Shanti Stupa, a symbol of purity and peace. From here, you could see the best panoramic views of Leh from its large windswept courtyard. After enjoying a day packed with sightseeing, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8

Departure from Leh

Leave on time for Leh airport to board your return flight. We hope you have a great trip!
